Need funding?

Fish Safe provides some basic training at cost or in some cases FREE FOR COMMERCIAL FISHERMEN.  When registering for courses, ask the training provider what funding options are available.

BC Employer Training Grant – Eligible employers can offset the cost of training employees up to $10,000 per year.

Employment Insurance – Did you know that the Employment Insurance (EI) program may allow you to take training while receiving benefits? This includes upgrading your skills to help you find a new job.
