The Fraser River is a busy waterway on any given day. Recognizing the increased activity and potential risk of collision during the summer and fall fishing seasons, a collaborative group of users (Fraser River Safety Committee) compiled the important information found in this brochure.

Education about safe navigation and better communication between all traffic in the river is the goal of this brochure. It is the hope of the Fraser River Safety Committee that with a better understanding of how and when all vessels work the river, we will continue to have a safe and productive waterway.
