Walking the walk is job #1 for Kasey DeMings, an east coast herring and lobster fisherman and husband and father of two young daughters.

Making sure his crew know as much about the boat as he does, how to operate it and the equipment on board, is just one of the ways he helps everyone on board prepare for the unpredictable.
