WorkSafeBC Inspection and Enforcement for 2021

WorkSafeBC inspections occur both at the wharf and out at sea. 

For 2021-2023, a special Marine Initiative has been developed and is detailed on WorkSafeBC’s website here.

With a focus on preventing loss of life as well as serious injuries while fishing, WorkSafeBC prevention officers are responsible for ensuring employers – vessel masters and vessel owners – are meeting the regulations designed to keep their workers safe.
